Sudan opens up new mining investment prospects through African week

The Ministry of Minerals has intensified thanks to its technical and supervision weapons, the General Authority for Geological Research and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Society, its external participation to improve investments in the mining sector, by participation in the African miner week held in the city of Cape Town, in South Africa, during the period from October 1 to 4, 2025 AD.

The delegation of Sudan was chaired by the geologist, advisor Ahmed Haroun Al -Tom, Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research and Geology, advisor Othman Suleiman Hammad. This step comes within the framework of the policy of the Ministry of Minerals aimed at promoting Sudanese metal resources, attracting foreign investments, introducing modern technologies and creating marketing ports for metals. During activities, the delegation examined the enormous metallic capacities that Sudan abounds in addition to participating in the support exhibition, which contributes to the strengthening of the presence of Sudan in the African and international arena in the field of mining.
