Citizens of the western and southern neighborhoods: Survivors of the rapid support militia fled the battlefield towards the southwest of the city of Al-Obeid.
The Sudanese army, with the Fifth Infantry Division (Hagana) in El Obeid, repelled a massive and violent attack by the Rapid Support Forces militia on the city of El Obeid from two axes – (the western and southern directions), and the army forces (Haganah) and other regular forces participating with them in the battle responded valiantly and with superior combat experience, according to an eyewitness.
Sources from the western and southern districts of Al-Obeid city reported that Al-Haganah forces developed professional combat plans that enabled them to defeat the Rapid Support Militia, inflicting heavy losses in equipment and lives, and losing a large number of their fighters, in addition to six combat vehicles that the army seized with their full crews.
The sources added that those who survived the militias fled to the southwest of the city of Al-Obeid.
The same sources in the Shikan Square (5) area reported that the militiamen attacked citizens in their homes, shooting at them, killing a woman and seriously injuring others.
