Sudanese Medical Council Exams Begin at White Nile University Center in Kosti
Practical examinations for doctors began this morning at the White Nile University Center in Kosti, organized by the Sudanese Medical Council in coordination and cooperation with the White Nile State, for which more than one hundred and eighty-seven doctors from all states of the country sit. They continue for two days under the generous patronage of Professor Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, Governor of the White Nile State.
Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, Minister of Health and Social Development, Professor Qamar Al-Dawla Abdul Muttalib, Deputy Director of White Nile University, Dr. Abdullah Abdul Karim, Advisor to the Governor for Health Affairs, Professor Ahmed Haroun Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Imam Mahdi University, Director of the Center, as well as a number of consultants and members of the Kosti Center committee attended the start of the students' exams.
Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, Minister of Health and Social Development of White Nile State, the governor's representative in the Sudanese Medical Council, welcomed the choice of the Kosti Center to organize these exams. He said that this choice is a good indicator. of the stability and security of White Nile State. He stressed that the presence of the center in Kosti will contribute to facilitating the service of doctors in the state and neighboring states. He expressed his thanks for the great role played by. the representative of the Sudanese Medical Council in the state for choosing the Kosti Center for medical practice exams and for the quick response of the council to make these exams his salary, he announced the support of the state government to health institutions and its sponsorship of all health programs. the Sudanese Medical Council and medical specialties to organize exams at the state level.
For his part, Professor Ahmed Haroun Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Imam Mahdi University and Director of the Kosti Center, confirmed that these exams are a new event in White Nile State and are part of the decentralization of the Sudanese Medical Council following the recent security events in Khartoum, based on which the Council decided to establish centers in safe cities in all states of the country, including the Kosti Center, which was selected according to certain requirements and conditions stipulated to be appropriate for the nature of the Sudanese Medical Council exams, among these conditions, the director of the center is the dean of the faculty of medicine of a public university, and the selection of a cooperation committee with a number of state advisers, in addition to preparing the center for electricity and the Internet.
The Director of the Kosti Center indicated that the choice of White Nile University as the location of the center was based on the good electronic and technical environment for holding these electronic exams, which received the appreciated support of the governor and the Minister of Health of the state, He. said that this center accommodates students from the state's medical schools and strives to provide the White Nile with an estimated number of doctors. Therefore, it must be preserved.
In the same context, Dr. Qamar al-Dawla Abdel-Muttalib, Vice Chancellor of the White Nile University, expressed his thanks for choosing the university to host the Sudanese Medical Council Center to organize permanent examinations for Sudanese doctors from various states of the country. He pointed out that the White Nile University hosts more than ten universities and colleges due to the security conditions that the country has gone through, and that it was also able to graduate the first class of the Faculty of Medicine with 44 doctors. In addition to graduating more than 567 graduates from various specialties, and that this number of graduates will constitute support and support to the state in various fields, Abdul Muttalib reiterated his confirmation of the readiness of the White Nile University to host all the activities of the Ministry of Health and the Sudanese Medical Council and meet their needs in the service of the state and the Sudanese society.
