The Regional Antiquities Bureau participated in the Nahr State in the activities of the first Nile Industrial Forum in Atbara. Mr. Hisham Karrar, director of the shendi office, explained that the office had participated in an exhibition among the exhibitions accompanying the forum.

The objective of participating in the forum was to reflect the role of antiques in the appearance of tourism investment, since effects are the first tourist attraction.

The exhibition included introduction information on the Regional Antiquity Office and its role in the supervision of state archaeological sites and management of the Marwa Island World Heritage Website.

In addition, an opportunity was offered by the director of office to comment on the investment document in the State, as he underlined the need to pay attention to the coordination between the authorities concerned in order to develop the tourism sector as a real economic resource for the State. A recommendation has also been proposed to the forum stipulating the need to conduct archaeological surveys before ratifying investment projects in the state.
