The Arab Sugar Forum launches today in Sudan, with the participation of ambassadors from a number of Arab countries

Today, the activities of the Arab Diabetes Forum (ADF) began its 15th session, which is being held in Sudan at the Al-Shamandoura Conference Hall in Port Sudan. It is organized by the international company Eva Pharma and continues for two days with the Arab Diabetes Forum (ADF). participation of 400 experts, consultants, specialists and representatives of internal medicine in several Arab countries and three states of Sudan, Kassala and the Nile on the Red Sea, Safaria.

Where the Director General of the Health Sector, Minister in charge of the Red Sea State, Dr. Ahlam Abdel Rasoul, consultant in internal medicine, highlighted that diabetes is one of the diseases that require dealing with challenges, economic problems and the forum. constitutes a broad meeting to exchange experiences, meet challenges and an opportunity to teach doctors and students, and she expressed her thanks to the Ipharma company.

Meanwhile, the representative of the Federal Minister of Health and Director of the Department of Non-Communicable Diseases, Dr. Areej Muhammad Khair, spoke about the importance of the forum, which is being held in a context where the country is facing many challenges faced by the health sector. and the closure of some hospitals and treatment units. She confirmed that the Federal Ministry of Health is making progress in restarting units and continuing rehabilitation.

She expressed her joy that the forum belonged to one of the departments she sponsored, and drew attention to health professionals, including assistants and technicians. She confirmed her commitment to all the forum's recommendations.

Dr. Rafidah Issa, representative of the Arab Forum in Sudan, said

The fifteenth session of the forum represents an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between specialists, considering that diabetes constitutes a concern in the world and that we seek to provide the latest research to address the challenges of the disease.

Dr. Mona Abdel Karim, Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine, said that the forum is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Arab countries and participants in the fields of research and development to combat the disease, and she hoped welcome all forum participants to Port Sudan. and Safaria, in Atbara, Kassala and in Arab countries.
