The Commission of Inquiry into the Campo Taiba Events in Jazira State was sworn in today before the Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council

Today, the Vice Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air in Port Sudan, took the oath of office before the President and members of the Commission of Inquiry into the recent events in Campo Taiba, in Gezira State, based on the decision rendered by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, in training.
The Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, First Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, confirmed in a press release that the Committee would immediately begin its work, by interviewing witnesses, hearing their statements, collecting evidence, determining all causes, conditions and circumstances that led to the events, counting losses and taking all necessary measures to enforce the law, emphasizing that judicial and regulatory agencies will work to achieve justice and extend justice.
