The delegation of the Sudanese diplomatic mission visits the Misrata municipal council

In the context of the strengthening of cooperation and communication between the Sudanese mission in Libya and the Libyan authorities in the Municipality of Misurata, the delegation of the Sudanese diplomatic mission, currently in Misurata, made an official visit to the headquarters of the Misrate municipal council today, Sunday, August 3, 2025.

The Delegation was chaired by His Excellency the vice -president of the Sudanese Mission, Counselor Nasruddin Abdullah, accompanied by his Excellency the consul general of the mission, MR. Siddiq Abdel Baqi, and his Excellent the Deputy Head of the Passports Department at the Mission, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah al -hajj, Along with the Head of the Sudanese Community in the Municipality of Misurata, Mr. Moataz Mirghani Abbas.

The delegation was received by the chief of the municipal council of Misurata and a certain number of members of the Council, in addition to the director of the Ministry of Foreign and International Affairs of the Municipality, during which during the meeting, the delegation was discussed to improve cooperation between the Sudanese community and the Libyan authorities of the city.

At the start of the meeting, the chief of the municipal council welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the depth of historical relations which bring together the Libyan and Sudanese people, praising the Sudanese community of Misurata, by describing it as “the most distinguished communities residing in the city” because of his positive studies and the community with students of the community.

His Excellence Advisor Nasr El -Din Abdullah expressed his great thanks and his appreciation to the authorities of the City of Misrata for the support and support they provided to the Sudanese, who were forced to leave Sudan following current events, praising their efforts by providing a safe environment and receiving generous.

His Excellency also appreciated the large facilities provided by the Municipality of Misurata to allow Sudanese students to carry out the examinations of the primary and average certificates for this year inside the city in a stage which is the first of its kind, where a special examination center was provided to them, which reflects the depth of fraternal relations between the two peoples.

The visit ended by focusing on both parties on the importance of continuous communication, coordination and strengthening of the bonds of fraternity and cooperation between the Sudanese and Libyan peoples.
