The Executive Director of Shendi Locality meets with the Director of Shendi Electrical Maintenance Department and announces the return of electricity during the day in the areas affected by torrents and rains in Hajar al-Asal and Basabir units.
The Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Mr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, was briefed on the efforts made by Shendi Electricity workers to address the power outages in Basabir, Hajar Al-Asal and South Shendi units after the electricity transmission line was affected. More than 30 poles were toppled and 8 transformers were burned due to the torrential rains to which these areas were exposed, he stressed during his meeting with a delegation. The Maintenance Department stressed the need for the return of electricity during the day, and Khaled. gave the good news to all citizens that electricity would return within the next 24 hours, praising the great and appreciated efforts made by electricians to address and repair these outages.
Meanwhile, Engineer Hisham Al-Wasila, Director of the Maintenance Department of Shendi Electricity, confirmed that the recent rains and torrential rains that hit the areas south of Shendi affected many poles and brought down more than 30 poles. More than 24 poles have been repaired and work is underway to complete the rest of the poles.
