The Federal Minister of Health meets his counterparts in Qatar and Jordan in Geneva
The Federal Minister of Health met, d. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Benzeri, Qatari Health Minister, Mr. Mansour Bin Ibrahim Bin Saad Al Mahmoud, and the Jordanian Minister of Health, d. Firas Ibrahim Al -Hawari, on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization – the 78th session in Geneva, in the presence of the Permanent Representative of Sudan at the United Nations, the ambassador Hassan Hamed.
The meetings have dealt with bilateral relations between Sudan, Qatar and Jordan, and the Minister praised the regional and international support that Sudan has in various forums, pointing to joint health projects with Qatar, continuous communication on the post-war stage and the return of a certain number of occupational health institutions.
The Minister also made a complete presentation on the health situation in Sudan, explaining the extent of the destruction left by the war and its impact on health institutions, in addition to freeing Khartoum state from rapid support and restoration of health services, thanks to the efforts of the government and international partners.
The Minister stressed the importance of the next step, which requires the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the health system, explaining that the Qatari and Jordanian health ministers expressed their approval to provide the support necessary to improve health services and restore the stability of the health sector in Sudan.
