The Federal Ministry of Health launches the first batch of health support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Today, the Federal Ministry of Health has launched the first lot of health support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Center King Salmane for help and humanitarian aid, at the headquarters of the National Fund for Medical supplies in Port-Soudan, and in honor of the Governor of the Red Sea, Lieutenant-General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, and the under-secretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Commissioner Dr Ismat Mustafa, the ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar, and the director general of the state health sector, Dr. Ahlam Abdel Rasoul, chief of staff of the Military Region of the Red Sea, representative of the commissioner for humanitarian aid, representative of the Center King Solomon and several departments of the Federal Ministry and State of Health.



The governor of the Red Sea, Lieutenant-General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, praised the continuous support of Saudi Arabia in Sudan, expressing his thanks to the government and the people of the Kingdom, on behalf of the Government of Sudan, for this support and The inauguration of the first batch of health support in medical devices, equipment and drugs to cover the needs of the health sector.

Mustafa congratulated the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Salman Center for their continuous efforts on the part of the government of the State and the Federal Ministry of Health.

For his part, the under-secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ismat Mustafa expressed his thanks and his appreciation to the government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, welcoming the continuous support of Saudi Arabia through the Center King Salmane in terms of humanitarian aid, in particular support for medical supplies and equipment to meet the needs of the health sector. ISMAT revealed that the first batch is 140 tonnes, distributed in 11 containers out of a total of 110 containers containing medical supplies of pink solutions, emergency drugs for children, preventive supplies and medical equipment.

In this context, the Saudi ambassador, Ali Ben Hassan Jaafar, said that cooperation between the two countries continued, highlighting the facilitation of all procedures to continue to provide humanitarian aid in order to relieve the sufferings of our brothers and sisters in Sudan – as he said -.

The Saudi ambassador revealed that next Monday, the grant from Center King Salman Bin Abdulaziz in Sudan of 100 tonnes of dates would be launched on the occasion of the sacred month of Ramadan, and that the coming weeks would also see new activities and projects humanitarian workers for Sudan.

Today’s inauguration is part of the numerous humanitarian aid initiatives in Sudan through the King Salman Center, confirming the kingdom’s commitment to help and support for the whole of Sudan.
