Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim said that Sudan continues to strengthen its partnership with the World Health Organization to achieve common health goals, stressing the importance of effective cooperation with the organization and its role in supporting efforts to advance the health sector and its sustainability at different levels, including through joint efforts to combat diseases and epidemics in a way that preserves human health and the safety of communities.

Adhanom, accompanied by Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhi, Director-General of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, tomorrow morning, Saturday, September 7, on the occasion of his visit to Sudan within the framework of the close cooperation relations between the two sides, which mainly aims to improve the means of integration, achieve the desired goals and follow up on joint health projects and verify the health status.
The minister said that the visit is an extension of the World Health Organization's support to Sudan, which is the culmination of the distinguished relations and aspects of joint coordination and cooperation between Sudan and the World Health Organization for many decades, adding that the organization's support The other is not limited to financial and technical support, but extends to mobilizing the efforts of international organizations to finance Sudan's activities, pointing out that talks were held with the state leadership represented by the Sovereign Council, as well as a meeting with the government. resident representative of the United Nations agencies, in addition to a number of inspections and field visits to health facilities and institutions, as well as a visit to an accommodation center.
The Minister highlighted the great support and attention that the health sector in Sudan receives from the Government of Sudan, based on the belief that human health comes first and foremost, which has contributed to achieving a series of pioneering achievements in this sector and at different levels, in line with aspirations, development goals and comprehensive health coverage.
