The First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council praises the performance of the National Health Insurance Fund

Mr. Malek Agar Alier, First Deputy of the Sovereignty Council, ordered the management of the National Health Insurance Fund to work to provide medicines and services to backward states and enable displaced persons in safe states to receive services. During his meeting in a library in Port Sudan with Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim, Director General of the National Health Insurance Fund, he was briefed on the performance of the Fund during the first half of 2024 and praised the performance and progress in the field of restoring services and covering displaced and returnees, stressing the commitment to addressing performance challenges, especially the process of delivering medical consumables and supplies to isolated areas.

The First Deputy of the Sovereignty Council called for the need to introduce the State of Khartoum into the insurance system, appreciating the role of the Governor of Khartoum and his actions on the ground in the process of reforming the health system, calling for the need for coordination with government agencies to enforce external protocols, including the partnership initiative with the Egyptian Health Insurance.

For his part, Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim reviewed:

The performance of the National Health Insurance Fund during the first half of this year, revealing that 87 health institutions were restored, bringing the number of health institutions providing services to 894 institutions, compared to 807 institutions that were at the end of the year 2023 AD. , and the number of people visiting the general medicine department reached (4,615,302) patients while (923,061) patients were referred to the specialist, and the number of those who underwent surgical operations reached (43,495), and at the same time a number benefited from it. since

(4,522,996) reluctant pharmaceutical service.

Dr. Farouk Omar Al-Muday reiterated the progress in restoring services in accordance with the emergency plan, as well as the use of solar energy in facilities to ensure continuity of services.

He described the First Deputy's praise of the Fund's performance as a motivation to achieve more, thanking the Sovereignty Council's continued support for health insurance.
