The Fund for the United Nations allocates $ 47 million in Sudan

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) announced the allowance of around $ 47 million in Sudan in 2025, with funding expectations of around $ 75 million for the period from 2026 to 2028. At a meeting that brought together Professor Mohamed Bashar, the under-secretary of planning of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, and Bruno Hoskin, Qatari the health sector as a fundamental priority for human development. He stressed the importance of the role of the fund in support for priority sectors, while emphasizing coordination with United Nations organizations to implement funding through regional and international institutions. He underlined the improvement of the benefits of species support provided to citizens through organizations such as the World Food Program (WFP).
Professor Ikhlas Mohamed Ali, director general of external finance, explained that the Ministry of Finance is the general coordinator of the government with the United Nations organizations and agencies in the management of Qatari programs and monitoring their implementation in coordination with relevant technical organizations.
Bruno Hoskin, deputy director of the Qatari fund, said that the partners of the fund in Sudan include the federal government and the state and local civil society organizations. He made a presentation on the implementation of the fund programs in Sudan in 2024, emphasizing the priorities of the local community, such as strengthening the capacities of the health sector, awareness and providing health services through mobile clinics in the fields affected by conflicts. He underlined the continuous support of the fund through its offices in the Sudan port states, Gedaref, Kassala, the Nile, in addition to supporting the state of Darfur by Chad.
