Supreme Council of Hajj and Umrah Praises General Passport Administration, Confirms All Passports Are Issued in Record Time

The General Administration of Passport and Immigration this year invited the last batches of pilgrims departing by air via Port Sudan International Airport to the Holy Land, which saw the transfer of 1,466 pilgrims via 12 flights including Badr and Tarco airlines to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, where the pilgrims completed their Hijri immigration procedures at the airport with ease and comfort. Director of Passport Department of Port Sudan International Airport, Police Brigadier General Onur Mohamed Ismail, Police Colonel Asim Sheikh Dakno and airport administration staff worked to complete the procedures for pilgrims in a short time, while tomorrow, Thursday, the procedures for the last groups of pilgrims will be completed and the operations of the Hajj tourist delegation will begin immediately after, which will begin at dawn on Friday.

The Head of the Hajj Operations Room at the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Council, Port Sudan Airport, Ibrahim Moawad Taha, in statements to the press (at the Police Press Office), welcomed good coordination with Hajj-related agencies. The General Administration of Passports and Immigration, represented by Police General Othman Dinkawi, for facilitating the Hegira procedures in a short time, emphasizing that the General Department of Passports has issued passports to all those who wish to perform Hajj this year. He added: “We do not have any pilgrims who returned because their passport was not issued.”

A number of pilgrims who spoke (at the police press office) expressed their praise for the handling of passports at the Port Sudan International Airport and for completing the procedures as quickly as possible.
