The Northern State, with its capital, Dongola, witnessed, on the morning of October 1 last year, the global forum on women's issues in war and peace, organized by the General Secretariat of Social Affairs under the slogan (Women's Contribution to Reunification and Rebuilding Life) under the patronage of Professor Manal Makkawi Ibrahim, Secretary General of Social Affairs, and honored by His Excellency Professor Abdeen Awadallah Muhammad, Governor of the Northern State, spoke welcoming the Council of Ministers of his government, members of the State Security Committee, the executive director of Dongola locality and the guest of the forum, His Excellency Major General (M) Al-Hadi Bishri, former governor of the state, stating: “In this global forum, we write in letters to highlight the achievements made by the General Secretariat of Social Affairs in providing all humanitarian aid to those arriving from other states to cause of war and those affected by torrents and rains, through local and international organizations and paying attention to women. Local organizations, the United Nations and others who stood with the people of the state in their plight following the war that recently broke out. These organizations helped shelter the arrivals and provide them with all the necessities of life. , including food, drinks, heaters, tents, blankets, therapy camps and care, their support was not limited to this, but rather extended to sheltering those affected by the torrential rains that recently swept across the state.
This distinguished and elegant presence testifies to the interest of Professor Manal Makkawi, through his activist activity, in shedding light on the fate of women who were displaced because of this war and who were burned by its fire, and its interest for the segment of citizens, expatriates and people with special needs. We will work, God willing, to pay attention to women by appreciating their great role in society. and the grandmother. Therefore, we convey the greetings of the women of the Northern State to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and we congratulate him on the victories of our Armed Forces in all axes. he hoped the meeting would result in a vision.

This forum came to honor the role of women and what they do in times of war and peace. She is the pillar of families. She is the one who instills the spirit of virtue in her children so that they are good in society. is the one who shares life with her husband and sends the best of herself to the battlefields. The woman will be a strong barrier that protects peace, heals wounds and supports warriors.
At the end of her speech, she listed some of the achievements made by the secretariat, for example the Good Purpose project aimed at improving individual incomes, establishing an emergency family shelter, distributing direct cash assistance to reduce the poverty and to send several convoys of food. and materials for shelters in localities across the state, and these are just a few of the icebergs.

Professor Omaima Abu Bakr, Head of the Protection Committee at the General Secretariat of Social Affairs and Head of the Organizing Committee, delivered a welcome speech from the General Administration for Women and Family Affairs.
