The government of the state of Kassala announces the preparation of schools for the launch of the academic year 2025-2026
The government of the state of Kassala has announced the completion of all the provisions for the launch of the 2025-2026 academic year tomorrow, Sunday, at all levels of studies, confirming the preparation of schools to receive students despite the challenges that the educational process is faced.
The Minister of Finance, the Economy and the Workman, Mr. Musa Usik, said at a press conference in Kassala, that the government of the State agreed to pay all the arrears of teachers and workers, which amounted to nine months for 2023 and 2024, explaining that 30% of salaries are financed by the center while the state bears the remaining percentage.
The Minister added that the government had completed its understanding with a number of organizations to resolve the problem of the session and rehabilitation of the schools affected by the accommodation of a large number of displaced people, highlighting the commitment of the Kassala press to provide the manual in the coming period.
Othman Omar Othman, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Orientations in charge, explained that the percentage of school schools reached 90%, stressing that certain schools are still faced with challenges related to separation and creation of the school environment, by calling for the revival of societal efforts to support the stability of the academic year, while working to fill the shortage of school executives opening up new opportunities for appointment.
For his part, the executive director of Kassala Locality, Professor Idris Muhammad Ali Madawi, provided an explanation on local efforts to solve the problem of teachers’ salaries, pointing to the resumption of the plan to pay the arrears in full cooperation with the government of the State to ensure that the school environment is fully prepared.
