The Governor of the North, Abdeen Awadallah, and the Federal Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, attended, in Dongola, the conclusion of the activities of the training course to prepare young people for awareness of the dangers of drugs, which This is being conducted by the State Drug Control Subcommittee. The course was aimed at around a hundred trainees.
The state governor highlighted the keenness of the state government to strengthen the role of community partnership in anti-drug efforts through continuous awareness and education programs and create a positive impact on all members of society and prevent young people from falling into the clutches of abuse and addiction. .
*For his part, Federal Minister for Social Development Ahmed Adam* Bakhit said that drugs have become a destructive weapon targeting our youth, and called for paying attention to the problems of the youth and solving them in a way that motivates them to achieve their aspirations.
*In addition, the General Secretary of State Social Affairs, Manal Makkawi, head of the drug control subcommittee, explained that this session is part of the objectives of the national campaign to combat drugs through the axes of awareness, treatment and reducing sales demand.
Secretary General of the State Supreme Council of Youth and Sports, Ezzedine Mohamed Al-Sayed, said that the results and recommendations of this session represent an action program that can be implemented.
*In turn, the Supervisor of the Youth Anti-Drug Campaign in the States, Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman* welcomed the interest of the Northern government in the campaign, highlighting the scientific plans developed to intensify awareness and encourage the treatment to prevent the dangers of drugs.
The training recommended the establishment of an integrated clinic and treatment centers in the state and modernization of outreach methods to achieve the goals, in addition to training youth teams in the neighborhoods.
