The team of experts also visited the headquarters of the National Humanitarian Aid Commission in Port Sudan, accompanied by members of the National Coordination for the Follow-up to Resolution 1591 of 2005 concerning the States of Darfur, which operates under under the aegis of the Supreme Committee for Coordination with the United Nations. Dr Salwa also said the UN team of experts had asked a number of questions about the Adre border post. She provided them with a detailed explanation of the Sudanese government's position on the issue of opening the crossing points, reiterating Sudan's commitment to providing all facilities related to the fluidity of humanitarian aid.

Highlighting that Sudan has submitted a proposal to the United Nations regarding the continuation of work at the Adre crossing point, which includes the establishment of a joint mechanism comprising Sudan, Chad and the United Nations with the aim of facilitating procedures and to monitor movable goods arriving in Sudan.

Furthermore, Salwa Bennih said she also informed the UN team of experts about the violations and objections committed by the militia and its attacks on humanitarian aid teams, in clear disregard of the resolution (2736) of the UN Security Council regarding the non-siege of El Fasher and the obstruction. the arrival of help to those who need it. Confirming that the Sudanese government is allowing relief supplies to reach any Sudanese citizen present in any part of the country. The United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OSHA) has been informed of the Government of Sudan's willingness to open the crossing once the security requirements of the procedures related to the opening of the crossing are met.
