The importance of establishing a branch of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Sinar at the Sinar Sugar Factory ✍️ Dr. Al-Zubair Hamza Al-Zubair
The establishment of a branch of the College of Engineering near the plant will create an ideal balance between theoretical education and practical application, as students will have direct access to industrial processes, technical management methods, equipment maintenance and automatic control systems, which will lead to the graduation of engineers with real field experience, capable of working with high efficiency in the public and private sectors.
This project will also help serve the local community by stimulating economic activity in neighboring villages, creating new opportunities for applied scientific research, in addition to developing engineering solutions to problems faced by factories and productive institutions in the region. It will also represent a bridge of cooperation between the university and the factory in the fields of training, consultation and joint research, ensuring the mutual development of the two institutions.
From a development perspective, the presence of the College of Engineering near the Sennar Sugar Factory will help boost rural development and raise the level of technical awareness in the region. It will also help reduce talent migration to big cities, by providing quality education and training opportunities in a local environment capable of absorbing young people and qualifying them to serve their country.
It can be said that this initiative is not just an academic requirement, but rather a strategic vision to localize applied teaching in production sites and transform universities into effective institutions of economic and social development. Accordingly, we address this request to the administration of Sennar University, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Governor of Sennar State and all concerned parties, regarding the need to study the project and work towards its implementation as quickly as possible, due to its profound impact on the development of education, engineering and industry in Sudan.
