In a district of the United States of America, an incident which again confirmed that education is not only the preservation of the responses, but the art and the skills to refine the spirits. An Arab student migrated with her father and joined school after announcing the results of the exams, and she was surprised by her fraud, despite the validity of all her responses.

Her father returned with her to school and explained to the director that her daughter is a superior and committed student and that she is fair, and after the examination, her answers were fully proven, to reveal that the problem is not in her capacities, but in the method of education based on the strict indoctrination that she was used to her mother in her country.

This event reflects a clear systematic gap between traditional education in certain Arab countries and interactive education in the West:

Traditional education: depends on memorization and repetition without the actions of the mind, and the student is limited in strict rules and limits the capacity of the teacher and the student to innovate.

Western education: depends on skills, critical thinking, participation and cooperation, and allows each student to express their ideas in different ways, emphasizing the realization of the mind, and not only on the memorization of information.

The Grand Express: Education based on indoctrination alone can drop the real talent and create a misunderstanding of the actual students, as we saw with the migrant student. While creative education guarantees the discovery of students’ talents, refining the skills of reflection and allowing each spirit to shine in their own way.

In the end, history is not only an individual incident, but rather a silent attraction to reconsider traditional education methods, and adopt programs that encourage free thinking and independent creativity. Nations remain big students thinking, not just students.
