The Minister of the Interior welcomed him: The fight against smuggling in the Red Sea has made it possible to seize large quantities of various weapons
Acting Minister of the Interior, Major General (M) Khalil Pasha Sairin, carried out, in the buildings of the Red Sea Anti-Smuggling Administration, the largest seizure of weapons during the previous period, in the presence of Major General Babiker. Youssef Babiker, Deputy Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Acting Director General of Customs Forces, and Mr. Major General Yasser Siddiq Muhammad Ahmed Musaed, Director General of Anti-Smuggling and a group of Customs leaders.
In the same context, Sirin praised the great success which testifies to the total vigilance and the great feeling of security enjoyed by the agents and personnel fighting against smuggling, stressing that this success is not foreign to the customs forces, accustomed to achieve achievements and provided columns of martyrs for this, emphasizing that this achievement coincides with the victories won by the People's Armed Forces in all axes, and His Excellency promised to promote the force of officers to the highest ranks as a sign of accomplishment and gratitude for their great achievements.
For his part, Major General Babiker Youssef Babiker, Acting Director General of Customs Forces, confirmed that the anti-smuggling forces in the various states of Sudan are up to the challenge and have achieved many successive successes and achievements in over the last few years. which confirms their ability to confront all attempts aimed at destabilizing security and sabotaging the economy. He also praised His Excellency the control forces in all states, who work to protect borders, support the economy and fight against smuggling.
Major General Yasser Siddiq Mohamed Ahmed, Deputy Director General for Counter-Smuggling, said the weapons seizures are considered qualitative seizures, explaining that the seizure is considered one of the largest combat seizures in Sudan and can arm more than one infantry company. His Excellency promised to clear the entire coast of the Red Sea State of all threats and all those who would attempt to undermine the security of the country.
Brigadier General Abbas Abdel Qader Dinar explained that the seizure was carried out after the availability of information, its follow-up and the development of a solid plan. A covered vehicle was seized in the Auser mountain range, south of the town of Tokar in the Red region. Sea State was loaded with 40 RPGs and 15 Qarnov rifles, in addition to 109 Kalashnikov rifles. However, the professionalism of the anti-smuggling forces was stronger, vehicles were seized and weapons were received.
