The Nile National Health Insurance Fund announced its goal to include 1,200 displaced families under the umbrella of health insurance, as part of an initiative launched by the Jasmar organization to sponsor displaced families in the localities of Al-Damer and Atbara.
The Director of Population Coverage, Mr. Osama Mahmoud, Director of the Population Coverage Department in Health Insurance, welcomed this initiative, calling on other organizations to follow the example of the Jasmar organization in providing support displaced families. He stressed that the necessary procedures will be facilitated and that the targeted families will be photographed within the first batch, which includes 250 families.
For her part, Ms. Umm Salamah Youssef, head of the organization's sponsorship program for displaced families, expressed her thanks to the Health Insurance Directorate for welcoming the initiative and facilitating the procedures. Ms. Afaf Ahmed, Director of Programs of the organization, also confirmed its intention to gradually ensure the target number and expand the scope of beneficiaries to cover all displaced families in the state.
