The Nile Sub-Governor confirms the preparation of the State to a partnership with UNICEF to improve development and serve the state of the state
Professor Mustafa Mohamed Othman Al -Sharif, Deputy Governor of the Nile River, TODAY Chaired at the palace of Hospitality in Damer, the Enlightering Meeting of the Delegation of the United Nations Children’s Fund “Unicef, in the PREENCENCE OF A NUMBER OF MINISTERS, Confirming The Readiness of Full cooperation and strategic partnership with the Organization to serve the State’s People, Especially in the Fields of Childhood, Education, Health and Water.
His excellence drew attention to the big humanitarian role played by “UNICEF” to support the state, appreciating the efforts of its regional office to provide assistance. He explained that the government of the State, led by Mr. Governor, is ready to provide all means of coordination with the organization and all the ministries concerned to ensure the success of development projects.
For its part, the UNICEF delegation, led by Professor Othman Shaybah Abu Fatima, director of the organization’s office in the Nile and North River states, stressed the importance of coordination with the government of the State, renting its support, which directly contributed to the success of the projects implemented. The delegation indicated its continuous support to the various ministries to provide better services and work to locate more projects, in order to ensure their sustainability.
The meeting experienced an in -depth examination of the organization’s achievements in the various sectors, where the Minister of Finance, Professor Amira Ahmed Hassan, appreciated the support of the organization to increase development capacities, noting that its budget appears as vital financial flows to support state development projects.
In the same context, the Minister of Social Affairs, d. Congratulations from Mirghani for the organization’s efforts in the protection and support projects of women and children, which is one of the maximum priorities of the government of the State.
For his part, the Minister of Infrastructure, the engineer Samir Saeed, explained the contributions of the major organization in the water sector, and stressed the importance of establishing a special factory so that Chlorine took up the challenges of the autumn season, because he highlighted the need to collect water to increase the agricultural area and offer protection to companies.
The Minister of Education, Mr. Ahmed Hamed, noted the efforts of the organization to support the education process through school grants and teacher training, noting that the State has raised the slogan that “education does not wait” despite the challenges produced by current circumstances.
The Minister of Health also confirmed, d. Magda Abdullah, that the health sector had the full support of “UNICEF”, and it cited projects to raise the capacities of health and community executives to face the cholera epidemic and drinking water. She highlighted the importance of creating an oxygen factory as an urgent need.
In the same context, the director general of Water Authority, Eng. Adel Khadr, said that the partnership with “Unicef” had led to 42 projects in the water field, in addition to its support in the installation of solar energy for water stations.
The meeting ended by stressing the importance of continuing this fruitful cooperation to ensure the continuity of projects which serve the person of the State.
