The Nile Sub-Governor underlines the integration of efforts to cope with the scourge of drugs
Professor Mustafa Mohamed Othman Al -Sharif, Vice-Governor of the Nile and Minister of Culture, Information and Communications, praised the great efforts and the growth carried out by the subcommittee of the control of narcotics in the State, during his address to the activities of the International Day for the Control of Narcotics in Atbara.
His excellence described drugs as one of the dangerous threats targeting young people, considering it as a form of war imposed in the country, which colonizes and forms in various ways. He also warned of the potential risks of the propagation of drugs on mining sites, although mining activity represents a great state blessing.
The vice-governor stressed that the current step requires a greater role in awareness, supporting the efforts of the state police and the drug control department. Stressing that this administration needs great support from all state institutions, goodness and businessmen so that he can play his required role and eliminate this dangerous phenomenon.
Al -Harif stressed that the human resource is the most precious wealth which must be preserved and fortified, and that young people represent a wealth in which we expect the future of the State and the country. In this context, the imams of mosques have called for constant attention to awareness of the dangers of drugs, stressing that this consciousness should not be limited to certain occasions, but rather to be a continuous work.
The vice-governor appreciated the theatrical work that has been presented on raising awareness of the dangers of drugs, calling not to be limited to the category of university students and to extend the scope of access to these activities to include all sectors of society, in particular markets and mining sites, due to the extent of systematic targeting.
Professor Mustafa Al -Sharaf also praised the great roles played by the state police, stressing that they deserve the honors of merit with all, because of the great seizures in the fight against drugs, in addition to his security and his obsessive work in the fight against crime and his growing roles in the extension of security and stability.
The vice-government drew attention to young people in clubs and youth centers, and to exploit their energies to be a campaign of conscience to fight against this phenomenon and strengthen societies.
At the end of his speech, the Sub-Governor transmitted Mr. Wali’s greetings of the State to the participants, and his assertion of his continuous support and his care to all the programs and projects of the subcommittee and the general administration of the drug control. By calling the government of the state again to all active sectors to integrate efforts, to allow the drug control service to walk in its seizure and awareness work. Stressing that the next step will witness a major role in which all the platforms of the media and awareness will be exploited to fight against the phenomenon of drugs and strengthen the societies of their ailments, hoping that security and security will prevail throughout the country.
