The northern governor responds to the Nile government's request to lift the ban on seeds and grant them an exception for their transportation so that they help increase agricultural area.

The Northern Governor, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, has agreed to lift the seed ban in Nile State due to the exceptional circumstances the country is going through and to increase the productive agricultural area in Nile State.

The state governor met in his office with Nile Governor’s Envoy and State Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Abdul Majid Qasm Al-Sayyid.

Al-Sayed Department thanked the Northern Governor and his government for quickly responding to the state's demands and granting them seeds purchased before the emergency order prohibiting their transportation outside the state .

He stressed that both states are heading towards a very reliable winter season to ensure the food security of the country, given the circumstances it is going through.

He pointed out that the northern governor responded to the Nile government's request to release the seeds and granted them an exception to transport them so that they would help increase the agricultural area of ​​the state.

Northern Governor Abdeen Awadallah issued Emergency Ordinance No. (12) of 2024 AD banning and preventing the transportation of wheat seeds out of the Northern State for the past month.
