The State has adopted a new policy in filling the highest management positions in the State by offering them to public competition under specific conditions which we hope will not be waived.

The position of Director General of the Seaports Authority is an important and sensitive position due to its management of the largest economic institution that generates millions of dollars for the public treasury.

The conditions for applying for the position of Director General of the Maritime Port Authority are as follows

1/ The candidate for the position must be medically fit and not suffer from chronic illnesses (hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and any illness hindering his performance).

2/ Provide the candidate for the position with a liability waiver and list all his or her private assets before occupying the position and review them after leaving the position.

5/ The nationality of the person who will occupy the position because the site is a national site belonging to all Sudanese and there is no objection to it being occupied by a son of the State, provided that the required conditions are met.

Moving away from the partisan and tribal quota approach to senior leadership positions is an important issue and establishes the state's approach to institutions.

Placing the right person in the right place is very important and this will definitely help in performance improvement and development.

The public site is vulnerable to criticism, which requires endurance on the part of its occupant and staying away from the personalization of criticism and its acceptance (that of the tribe). Nowadays, when we criticize a public official, he is forced to seek refuge and take refuge. taking refuge with the people of his tribe and presenting criticism as criticism of the tribe, in order to cover up his failure to defend himself and the institution he leads.
