The Presidency of the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers order to take immediate measures to resolve the problems at the Ishkit and Arqin crossing points

The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, received in his office the anti-smuggling delegation visiting the state, in the presence of the Coordinator of Crossings, Mr. Muhammad Awad, the Director of Anti-Smuggling, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Tayeb Al-Fadl Abdul-Jabbar and Ms. Hanan Ahmed, the Commercial Commissioner, in order to form a committee to resolve the problems at the Ashkit and Arqin crossing points in administrative and technical aspects.

The meeting discussed a number of issues

Therefore, he ordered the Presidency of the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers to form a committee to act immediately to address the effects of this decision within a week.

So there was a deadline to complete the one-month period from August 22 to September 22 to process all these traces of goods that arrived at the customs warehouses at the Ashkit and Arqin border crossings.

He stressed that these goods would be counted within a week and all problems would be resolved, and that the delegation was fully committed

He highlighted the problems facing all the crossings, promising to resolve them by this week.

He said that all teams have moved to the customs ports to deal with all these effects during this month.

The committee was formed in the context of the deterioration of the exchange rate and the Sudanese pound against the dollar, and the significant rise of the dollar, which was the reason for these decisions.

He called on all parties to commit to implementing and respecting these decisions.

He called on citizens to adhere to these policies because they are in the interest of the citizen to preserve his wealth, capabilities and the trade balance, and to preserve the country's exports and imports so that the Sudanese economy recovers.

He referred to the relevant authorities, the Ministry of Commerce, Standards and Quality, Quarantine, Agricultural Quarantine and all relevant authorities.
