The President of the Sovereignty Council meets a delegation from the People with Disabilities Initiative
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General *Rukn Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan* met today with a delegation from the Initiative for Persons with Disabilities to Support the Armed Forces, led by Professor Al-Safi Muhammad Fadlallah. In the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Dr. Malak Dafa, Mr.
Al-Safi said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the great contributions of people with disabilities in supporting the battle for dignity, in supporting the problems of the Sudanese people and in defending their dignity.
Stressing that the meeting was an opportunity to inform the President of the Sovereign Council of the objectives of the Disabled Persons Initiative and its projects to support and accompany the armed forces by activating activities for people with disabilities, particularly with regard to supporting the wounded in operations and the war disabled in military hospitals, providing them with rehabilitation services and psychological support and integrating them into society, stressing that Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan praised the initiative for its support for the battle of Karama.
Highlighting the importance of people with disabilities as they constitute a significant group in Sudanese society affected by war.
