The President of the Sovereignty Council meets behind closed doors with the President of the Republic of Mali

Today, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held private talks with the President of the Republic of Mali, Assimi Goeta, on the promotion and development of relations between the two countries and ways to support joint cooperation.
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan expressed satisfaction with the visit to the Republic of Mali, indicating that Sudan maintains historical relations with Mali, and said that this visit will have implications in the field of promoting and strengthening common interests between the two countries.
Stressing that African countries are linked by a common destiny which calls for cooperation and solidarity between them.
Welcoming the positions of the Republic of Mali towards Sudan, indicating that history will record these honorable positions in support of Sudan.
For his part, the Malian President welcomed the visit of Lieutenant General Al-Burhan, noting the historical relations between the Republic of Mali and Sudan, indicating that he lived in Sudan for more than 18 months, highlighting the support of his country in Sudan in the face of the attacks to which it is subjected against its security and stability. He added: “We know that there are enemies working against the security and stability of Sudan, hoping for the enormous resources at its disposal.
Stressing that there are terrorist groups and mercenaries from several countries working to destabilize security and stability in the region, emphasizing his country's willingness to coordinate with Sudan to combat terrorist groups.
The President of the Republic of Mali said his country's government is also confronted with terrorist groups seeking to undermine the security and stability experienced by Mali, calling for the need for concerted efforts to combat these rebel groups.
Highlighting the capabilities that Sudan has in the field of defense industries, emphasizing his country's willingness to exchange experiences with Sudan in many areas.
