The President of the Sovereignty Council receives the Prime Minister of Somalia

Today, the Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, Prime Minister of Somalia, on the sidelines of the meetings of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, in addition to the development and development of the situation in Sudan, developments in Somalia. and issues of common interest.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council praised the bilateral and well-established relations between the two countries, expressing Sudan's aspiration to continue joint work with Somalia to advance and strengthen the distinguished cooperative relations and expand, advance and consolidate their domains.
While the Somali Prime Minister expressed his country's willingness to continue joint cooperation with Sudan and strengthen and improve bilateral relations so as to meet the aspirations of the brotherly peoples and the two countries, stressing that his country stands with Sudan to achieve security and stability. and guarantee its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
On the Sudanese side, the meeting took place in the presence of Ambassador Hussein Awad, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, Permanent Representative of Sudan to the United Nations in New York.
