In reference to what has been published as a matter of public opinion related to national security, antiquities and archaeological sites, and to be honest, we publish what comes from the local antiquities department.

In response to what was said in Professor Absher Shajarabi's message about Shanan Castle

At first, I am *Hisham Khader Ahmed Karar*

The current director of the Shendi City Antiquities Bureau, which is affiliated to the Nile State Regional Antiquities Bureau, which is affiliated to the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums.

1/ The archaeological site of Shanan Castle dates back to the Neolithic period, approximately 12,000 BC, and is protected by the Antiquities Protection Law of 1999 AD.

Excavations and excavations began since the late 90s of the last century. Excavations and research are continuing at the time of writing this article.

Under the framework of joint cooperation in the field of scientific research and training, it was awarded to Shendi University in accordance with the Antiquities Protection Law and applicable conditions.

Many researches and studies have been published in international periodicals and magazines on Shanan Castle, and some of these researches have won international awards.

2/ The violation of antiquities and archaeological sites is considered a crime against the State and constitutes a crime against national security.

3/ Regarding the buildings built in Shanan Castle, there are two types of buildings, which are (stores) that were built at the beginning of the war when the state institutions were in a state of absence and liquidity (overnight). The second type is residential land

4/ Concerning the land on which construction is still in progress and has not yet been stopped, when the owner of the land began to dig the foundations of the house, we stopped the workers and asked them to bring us the owner of the land, and he was, and we spoke to him and explained to him that this land is located inside. It is an archaeological site and he could not be allowed to build the house. It stopped for a short time and then resumed construction. As a result, I took legal action. action (opening of an trespass report) against the owner of the plot on 10/27/2024 in the central section of Shindi For your information, during the legal procedure phase, construction did not stop at all until the report was canceled on 8/12/2024 by the Shindi Prosecutor's Office.

As a result, it has resumed and we will see what happens in the coming days.

Note: I received the desk at the end of September 2024.

This needs to be clarified.

*note*

Also, to be honest, we will stop writing about this topic until the legal proceedings are over 🌳
