In one morning, the clouds were absent and the flags increased, Tiananmen square in the heart of the Chinese capital, Beijing, attended a majestic celebration of the eighty anniversary of the victory of the Chinese popular resistance in Japan and at the end of the Second World War.
The scene was eloquent, while Chinese President Xi Jinping was argued alongside Russian president Vladimir Putin and the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, to announce to the world in silence and shine the weapon that the equations of force are not fixed, and that the alliances are formulated on the pace of the new time.
In the military parade, soldiers’ brigades regularly and advanced missile platforms, aircraft and robotic systems, in a clear message that Beijing improves the combination of the memory of the past and the force of the future. As for parallel meetings, they transported deep political messages there, while Putin met in Kim for more than two hours in a strategic interview, punctuated by mutual promises of support and improvement of military cooperation.
The meeting of the three leaders is not only read in the context of the historical opportunity, but also in the light of the major transformations observed by the world, while the emerging forces relay the map of political, economic and military influence. Beijing realizes, as Moscow and Pyongyang, that the historic moment allows the construction of a front which questions the Western monopoly of the international decision.
Although this anniversary calls for the mercy of millions of martyrs who fell into the Second World War, it also awakens in souls that balance is based solely on justice, and that living nations know how to maintain their sovereignty and their dignity.
