Actress Balqis Awad Rikabi Abdel Rahman is one of the victims of this war and among the thousands of people displaced to the state because of this cursed war. She was born in Khartoum in 1946. She grew up in her hometown, like her peers, and there she studied primary and secondary school in the secondary schools of the Egyptian mission of the Coptic College, then at the Al-Nilein University, Cairo branch, from which she graduated in 1963.
She then joined customs as a typist on the Typist machine and spoke the French language fluently, which helped her to have the director of customs make a decision appointing her as a customs agent in 1965. She is thus considered the first woman Sudanese to work as a customs officer, and she worked there for a long time until she retired with the rank of major.
Before entering customs, Balqis was considered the first Sudanese actress to speak the classical language on Sudanese radio. She was in her early years when she was a college student and did many works in the field of theater. Zahra spent her youth in this work. and his works included Moonlights of the Suburbs, Danger Railway, The Director's Daughter, Qatar North and The Last Train.
We asked her what this war meant to her. She replied that this war was the will of the Almighty God, and there was no escape, and it was written in humiliation, but thanks to God, to our armed forces, to the police . , security and mobilization, it has come to an end, God willing, and every day we hear victory after victory, or its positive aspects are that it united the Sudanese people and that they won the victory with the heart of a single man. , behind their army, and similar men appeared in this war, and also one of its blessings is the continuation of long-cut family ties.
