The Sovereignty Council holds its meeting with all its members and deliberates on the humanitarian effects of the floods and rains

The Transitional Sovereignty Council held its meeting this evening with all its members, headed by the President of the Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. He discussed the general situation in the country, particularly the humanitarian situation left by the torrential rains and their effects on citizens.

The Sovereignty Council has taken a number of measures and procedures to support affected citizens throughout Sudan. It has requested all state agencies to take urgent measures to assist those affected by floods and rains, to mitigate their effects on them, and to work to provide aid and provide medicine and shelter to affected citizens. Highlighting government and international efforts in this regard. The Council also stressed the need to undertake urgent visits to the affected areas and determine on the ground the extent of the damage and its impact on affected citizens.
