The Sudan Football Federation relights its facilities using solar energy

Khartoum – Zoll Net – January 2, 2025

In a move that reflects a trend towards sustainability and rehabilitation, the Sudan Football Federation has carried out integrated works which include lighting the academy buildings and offices of the Federation with solar energy, in addition to the maintenance of electrical generators and the installation and maintenance of water motors, which contributes to improving the working environment and ensuring continuity of services within the sports facilities.

The works were carried out thanks to the efforts of the maintenance committee headed by Mr. Nasr al-Din Hemedti, and in coordination with the head of the academy, Muhammad al-Mahdi, in a framework that reflects the spirit of responsibility and commitment to bringing the sports facilities back to life.

These measures are part of efforts to rehabilitate the facilities which were subjected to significant damage and vandalism during previous events, as the works also included the removal of dense trees inside the stadium and the treatment of the effects of shells on the ground and surroundings of the stadium, with a view to returning it to its natural state.

This work is the result of the recent visit made by the First Vice President of the Sudan Football Federation and Chairman of the National Teams Committee, Dr. Osama Atta Al-Mannan Hassan, within the framework of supporting sports activity and preparing conditions for the return of activity to the triangular capital.
