The Sudan Liberation Forces Gathering replaces Al-Tahir Hajar and appoints his deputy
The Revolutionary Liberation Council of the Sudan Liberation Forces announced the removal of former member of the Sovereignty Council, Al-Tahir Hajar, from the presidency of the gathering and the appointment of his deputy, Ahmed Muhammad Suleiman, to carry out his duties .
During a press conference this Sunday evening, in the city of Port Sudan, the assembly revealed that Hajar had committed numerous transgressions and constitutional violations, including betrayal of the homeland, by siding with Rapid Support in the war against the homeland, in addition to financial corruption and receiving money from Rapid Support Command.
The vice chairman of the Revolutionary Liberation Council, Major General Ahmed Muhammad Suleiman Sherka, expressed the group's refusal to side with the rapid support militia chosen by Al-Taher Hajar, noting that “the issue is the homeland” and that the current This situation only accepts a bias in favor of the armed forces and the citizen.

The decision to isolate himself was made not long ago, indicating that the isolated president has deliberately absented the movement's institutions in many situations and threatened that holding the general conference would divide the movement.
In a related context, a member of the Revolutionary Liberation Council, General Yazid Rashash, said that the gathering chose to isolate Al-Taher Hajar and side with the regular forces.

For his part, assembly member Saif al-Nasr al-Tijani said that the pivotal phase that the country is going through due to the war of aggression that affected it prompted the assembly to exempt Hajar after a number of deliberations and on the basis of the constitution, indicating upon reading the declaration that the deposed person deliberately obscured the activity of the movement and concealed the recommendations of the editorial staff, in addition to numerous violations.
