A phrase spoken by the late ruler Ismail Al-Azhari in 1956 AD as he and his people expelled the oppressive colonialist and declared his country's independence with pride and dignity. It is a phrase that conveys challenge, firmness and hope. he said it, he knew very well that the journey to realize hopes and ambitions is long and achieving them is fraught with dangers and it takes pure blood to escape the slavery and targeting of our country beloved, Sudan, by the Franks and follow them. until now.
We all celebrate its glorious independence and glorify its glorious heroes, such as Muhammad Najib and Muhammad Ahmed Mahjoub, and his famous saying (Sudan has become independent in spirit and blood and will remain independent in its culture and heritage), as well that the martyrs Ali Abdel-Latif, Abdel-Fadil Al-Maz, Wad Habouba and many others who made independence a tangible reality allowing every free Sudanese citizen who loves his country and its land to live with pride and dignity. And then, the horizon is vast for poets. Those who composed poetry and created creativity in that era, sang and entertained listeners throughout this beloved country, like Ibrahim Abdel Karim, who said (Here Sudan is independent, here freedom shines) and the poet Muhammad Abdullah, who said: “O Sudan, oh land of pride and glory, you have become independent in the spirit of the martyrs, and the poet Dr. Abdel Wahed Abdullah was creative, waving the Sudanese flag, sang and said with voice of the late Wardi.
Today we raise the standard of our independence and history marks the birth of our people.
