The top of the World Bank group: a window of hope for young Sudanese at the recovery stadium – something for the fatherland – ✍️ Mr. Salah Gharib

My follow -up of the activities of the twelfth edition of the World Youth Bank Group Summit was a real source of inspiration and optimism. This vital global gathering, which included ambitious young people from around the world, represents a unique platform to discuss the most urgent challenges that our planet is confronted with a particular emphasis on digital transformation, creative industries and young people led by young people for a more sustainable future.
The message carried by the summit was clear and strong: allowing young people to become the leaders of change and to provide them with the tools and knowledge necessary to transform their innovative ideas into projects affecting the field. The summit also underlined the importance of promoting constructive dialogue between young people, the World Bank group and all the parties concerned, in order to ensure that development efforts are complete and responding to the needs and aspirations of the young generation.
The various activities observed by the summit, from the round table with civil society organizations, through public sessions that have examined innovative solutions in vital fields such as agriculture, to the inspiring session on creative industries and fascinating cat on digital currencies, reflected the depth of interest in youth problems and their capacity to contribute effectively to the construction of a better future.
However, while we absorb the precious ideas and recommendations resulting from this summit, we can only ask ourselves questions about the possibility of applying these results to the reality of young Sudanese, in particular those who have been forced by the difficult conditions of war in their country to resort to neighboring countries, led by Egypt.
Sudanese youth, which represents a broad and ambitious segment of society, faces double challenges in the light of the current crisis. In addition to the global challenges common to which the summit has dealt with, such as the need to adopt digital transformation and to benefit from the creative industries, young Sudanese are faced with an existential challenge to rebuild their lives and their societies after the scourge of war.
Here, the importance of absorbing the results and recommendations of the top of the World Bank group and adapting them according to the unique Sudanese context. In the recovery phase, which will undoubtedly follow the end of the conflict, the empowerment of young people will have a central role in the revival of the economy and society.
Firstly: digital transformation as a recovery opportunity: digital transformation can play a decisive role in overcoming the restrictions imposed by war on traditional infrastructure in Sudan. Mobile telephony applications and digital platforms can facilitate access to basic services, offer distance education opportunities and connect young people to available employment opportunities, whether inside or outside Sudan. For young Sudanese in Egypt, digital initiatives can help them maintain links with their homeland, develop their skills and reach various sources of support.
Second: creative industries as a growth engine: young Sudanese have enormous creative energies in various fields such as art, music, design and entrepreneurship. Investment in the creative industries can offer new and sustainable employment possibilities to young people and contribute to the promotion of Sudanese cultural identity in the post-conflict conflict. For young refugees in Egypt, initiatives supporting creative industries can provide them with points of sale to express themselves and earn a decent living.
Third: the innovation led by young people for an appropriate planet to live: despite the difficult circumstances, the young Sudanese always have a passion for helping to build a better future for the planet. Encourage innovations led by young people in fields such as renewable energies, sustainable agriculture and natural resources management can contribute to the realization of sustainable development in long -term Sudan. For young people in Egypt, the exchange of experiences and knowledge with their Egyptian counterparts in these areas can have many advantages.
Provide young Sudanese the tools necessary to establish and participate projects, because the World Bank summit has confirmed a real investment in the future of the country. International and regional organizations and the future Sudanese government must work in close collaboration to provide financial, technical and training for young people and allow them to transform their ideas into a tangible reality.
In addition, the strengthening of dialogue between Sudanese youth, the World Bank group and the other main stakeholders around the world is crucial to ensure that restoration efforts are complete and responsive to the needs and aspirations of young people. Young Sudanese people must be involved in the formulation and implementation of programs and initiatives that target them and seriously listen to their opinions and ideas.
In conclusion, the summit of the World Bank group is a spark of hope for young people around the world, including young Sudanese, who face exceptional challenges. The adoption of the results and recommendations of this summit and adapting it according to the Sudanese context, with a particular emphasis on young people in Egypt, can greatly contribute to the efforts of recovery and reconstruction after the end of the war. The empowerment of Sudanese young people today is an investment in the prosperous and stable future for tomorrow.
