The under-secretary of the Ministry of Minerals examines the means of cooperation with Chican insurance and the World Trade Organization

The under -secretary of the Ministry of Minerals, Dr. Hind Siddiq, discussed during a joint meeting with the director general of the Chican Insurance and Insurance Company, Dr Tariq Abdel Salam Omar Al -Hajj, and the secretary general of the World Trade Organization in Sudan, Dr. Yasser Musa Adam Kabashi, means to improve joint cooperation to develop the mining sector and protect resources waste.

The meeting underlined the need to integrate roles between institutions and organizations in the public and private sector to monitor the pace of modern technologies which contribute to the regulation of the mining sector and meet the requirements of global trade, while emphasizing the importance of specialized training for executives working in the field of geology and mining in a way that reaches the principle of transparency in the sector.

The under-secretary explained that the Ministry of Minerals sought to align the laws and regulations on international agreements, in a way that guarantees that resources do not waste and do not preserve the rights of future generations, noting that the ministry will diversify the investment by introducing new minerals alongside gold.

The agent has also agreed with Chican Company to submit insurance proposals for working -class workers, life and mechanisms, stressing that the lives lost due to the collapse of mines are victims of living conditions for risk.

For its part, the Secretary General of the World Trade Organization in Sudan has confirmed the organization’s commitment to contribute to the training of executives and to fill legislative gaps, in order to improve the application of international commercial standards for transparency in the mineral sector.
