The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council confirms the government's willingness to deliver humanitarian aid and facilitate the work of medical teams

The Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air, affirmed the government's effort and concern to provide humanitarian aid to those who deserve it and to facilitate the work of rescue teams, medical teams and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field to fulfill their role of providing humanitarian aid, especially medical aid.
During his meeting with Dr. Christos Christou, International President of Doctors Without Borders, in his office, His Excellency pledged to remove all obstacles to the provision of humanitarian aid to citizens of targeted states and to grant visas to teams and employees of international organizations and regional organizations and relevant bodies.
His Excellency stressed the need to protect medical facilities, medical teams and employees of work organizations to enable them to provide medical assistance to people affected by the war.
For his part, Christos Christou explained in a press release that the meeting addressed many issues related to the humanitarian needs of the Sudanese population and the importance of reaching all places affected by the war.
His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he found from the Government of Sudan and for its serious commitment to continue joint work and coordination in order to provide medical and humanitarian services to citizens.
