In a world scene that increases the turmoil day after day, the blatant contradiction between the calls of the great powers to “peace” and “stability” on the one hand, and its madwoman rushes towards the devastating arms race. While the peoples of weak countries are besieged by political and economic decisions and the pressures which oblige them to abandon their defensive weapons under the slogan “replacement of peace”, large countries spend billions to develop solid missiles, nuclear submarines and advanced electronic war systems, as if they were preparing for universal wars that do not know Mercy.
The irony is that these forces which raise the banner of international law and human rights are the same which monopolize the weapons of mass destruction and prevent others from having limited dissuastic capacities. It is a unfair equation: weak peoples are required to abandon their only weapons that can protect them from the aggression, while the main countries are granted absolute legitimacy to accumulate enormous arsenals, citing the protection of their national security and their strategic interests.
“Peace”, which imposes oppression, is nothing other than imaginary peace, establishes a balance of powerful forces and makes small countries hostage to dependence and extortion. The truth is that armaments in adults are not invited to achieve world peace as much as for hegemony and control of world resources and markets.
After the last:
The world moves at a rapid pace to the abyss of a ceiling arms race, while weak countries are drained in a false spiral of “peace” which he exhibits defense. The continuation of this malicious equation will only do more domination and injustice, and perhaps trigger catastrophic wars which will first pay for the innocent. Almighty will.
