Tilted prosperity, on the verge of national hemorrhage – on low heat – ✍️ Khaled Muhammad Al-Baqir

⭕ In the current Sudanese moment, where the streets of towns and villages are filled with the ghosts of displaced people and where families are reeling under the blows of extreme poverty and the harshest misery, an existential paradox is embodied before us that almost breaks the heartstrings, a group that sleeps “full eyelids” and a homeland that bleeds to the dregs.

⭕ The crisis is not just due to bombings or sniper bullets, but rather it is a deep moral crisis, which is evident in the “astronomical” rents paid to Her Excellency and Sovereignty, and in the “billion dollar” allowances that fuel the accounts of employees who chose soft beds over the “Trench of Dignity.”

⭕ This is our country, “the land of strangeness, anecdotes and wonders”, where the careless person is rewarded with luxury, and the hard-working person is punished by displacement.

⭕In times of war, the original conception of public service must be redefined to become synonymous with sacrifice and asceticism. It was inevitable that those in charge, from the minister to the general, would live “badly” with their public. To taste the taste of deprivation, not the taste of luxury food, and to know the value of “bare bread” and not of medical privileges and lavish clothes.

⭕But what we are witnessing is a humiliating withdrawal; Employees sleep “on their stomachs without work,” receiving their billion-dollar salaries from “the money of hard-working people” who have lost everything: their jobs, their homes, their honor and their possessions. They enjoy the “cerato” that pleases the individual spirit while the nation stumbles in the mud of the abyss.

⭕ These elites have paid the homeland neither the price of sleep nor the “dignity tax”. They made the State the guarantor of their personal well-being, at the expense of the pockets of exhausted citizens.

⭕The equation has become upside down. The bill is not paid by those who can, but rather by those displaced by the fighting. They alone suffer the heat of moving to “houses other than their own”, while the doors and windows remain closed for the happiness of those having fun.

⭕ The continued payment of these benefits at a time when the citizen is not able to obtain medicine or earn a living is not only administrative corruption, but rather a resounding betrayal of the social and national pact. This is a distortion of the image of the “country we are proud of”, transforming it into a dilapidated structure in which the greedy take refuge.

⭕The time has come to raise the voice of truth to cry in the ears of the careless and arrogant. Either you will be partners in the pain and sacrifices, or you will leave your place to those who carry the cause of the nation in their hearts and not in their wallets.

🔥Letters on fire 🔥

May God protect you, my country, from the oppression of enemies and the neglect of children.
