Tourism in Sudan … The forgotten sector despite its buried treasures ✍️ d. ALAA IMAD AL -DIN AL -BADRI

Despite the transition from decades on the independence of Sudan, the tourism sector in the country still suffers from negligence and marginalization and has not yet received an independent ministry concerned by its affairs despite the natural, historical and cultural resources of which Sudan appreciated which can make it a unique tourist destination at the level of the African and the world.

At a time when many countries have succeeded, some of which do not have the tenth of Sudan tourism, tourist ingredients to convert this sector into a fundamental economic tributary which generates billions of dollars a year, we find that tourism in Sudan is always invisible and is affiliated with what cannot meet and it is often particles and the worst and the worst particles and the worst which are at the idea which are often present for sector. Lack of specific experience and scientific knowledge in the nature of tourism and its requirements.

The tourism sector is not only a means of economic development, but also a cultural window which introduces the world to the ancient history of Sudan and its cultural and environmental diversity, and although this sector does not need renewable capital or enormous investments as other sectors, it is able to eat and develop from the yields it reaches and can develop and open up new horizons in the field. Each dollar spent on tourism is due to a double return for the state and the local community.

Today, Sudan abounds with managers qualified as university graduates and a higher education campaign in the field of tourism, and they are able to make a qualitative change in this sector each time they have the opportunity and have found the necessary institutional support.

From there, we call on the Prime Minister and all the authorities concerned from the need to separate the tourism sector and other ministries and the creation of an independent ministry of tourism which is managed with specialized skills and anxious to develop a complete national strategy to advance Sudanese tourism in accordance with the future economic vision of the country.

Sudan lacks nothing other than the interest required for the tourism sector and the training of a ministry that is concerned with it to become one of the most important tourist destinations in Africa and the Arab world, and this forgotten sector is transformed into a strong engine of the national economic wheel.
