The Governor of Khartoum, Mr. Ahmed Othman, was present today at a number of activities that express the slogan (Despite what is happening, we must continue), where he launched the vaccination campaign with the vaccine against measles and rubella for the first time in Khartoum.
Minister of Health of Khartoum State, Dr. Fatah al-Rahman Muhammad al-Amin, said that the campaign targets more than (380,804) children aged 9 months to 15 years and more than 355 teams of fieldwork will work in for a duration of 10 days, thanks to funding from the World Health Organization (UNICEF).
We seek to reach 90% of the targeted people. The minister praised the support of the governor of Khartoum for the health sector.
The Khartoum governor said that since the start of the war, he was keen to preserve state assets, particularly the health sector, which has made many sacrifices in order to continue providing its services in safe areas and in areas where rebel militias are present. .
The governor also praised the attention of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and the Minister of Health for their continued support to the health sector.
He also paid tribute to national and international organizations that continued to work with the state throughout the war. He said that the efforts of health personnel enabled Khartoum State to achieve the best performance among the states of Sudan. care until it is able to restore and operate a number of health centers.
With the same slogan (Despite what is happening, we must continue), studies in the state were organized for the sixth year of primary school, the third year of middle school and the third year of secondary school. The Khartoum governor's tour revealed that teachers, students and parents welcomed the resumption of the school year despite the challenges and difficulties associated with the war. However, the determination fueled by calls for victory in the war for dignity is strongest. The Khartoum governor pledged to sponsor the school year through several axes, namely the provision of buses for the transfer of students and the provision of breakfast and incentive to teachers. The governor advised students to get vaccinated before leaving home. and pray for the victory of the armed forces so that studies return more stable.
