Vice-President of Sovereignty Council reviews results of Sudan's participation in United Cultures Forum in Russia

The Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air, was briefed on the results of Sudan's participation in the United Cultures Forum in Russia and other meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation and joint coordination to exchange ideas and opinions.

During his meeting today in his office in Port Sudan with the Acting Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, His Excellency praised the efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Culture and Information in the fields of culture, media and antiquities, stressing the need to continue efforts to achieve the desired goals.

The meeting discussed shedding light on the outcomes of the meeting of state governors and regional governors of Gedaref State regarding radio and television organizations.

The meeting discussed the work report of the commission chaired by the Minister of Culture and the composition of the public prosecutor's office, the police in its various departments, federal investigations, the customs administration, Interpol and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Review of what happened regarding the seizure of two Land Cruiser vans in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State in South Sudan, the procedures to be followed, the final treatments and the communication with UNESCO through the Sudanese mission in France.

For his part, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader explained in a press release after the meeting that he informed the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council of all the programs implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Information during his participation in the Russian Forum and the meetings that took place, including the meeting with the Russian Minister of Culture, the signing of the memorandum of understanding in the various fields of culture, as well as the meeting between the Minister of Culture of the Republic of South Africa and Djibouti, a meeting with the official spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as a meeting with professors of private universities in the field of archeology.

He called on His Excellency to participate and attend the symposium held on antiquities in Sudan, which dealt with what the Sudanese National Museum was exposed to during the recent period concerning Sudan.

His Excellency explained the ongoing arrangements for the World Tourism Day, which falls on September 27, and the training forum for radio and television workers in the Red Sea State.
