Vice President of the Sovereignty Council welcomes Turkey's supportive positions

The Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Aqar Air, praised Turkey's positions in support of Sudan in all areas, especially humanitarian ones.
During his meeting today in his office in Port Sudan with the Turkish Ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yildiz, His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Turkish government and people for their stance, support and assistance to the Sudanese people during the war period, expressing the aspiration of the Sudanese government to strengthen relations and continue joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields in a manner that serves the interests of the peoples of both countries.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador explained in a press release that the meeting focused on the general situation in Sudan and the assistance that Turkey can provide to the Sudanese people to alleviate the burden of the exceptional circumstances they are going through due to the war.
The Turkish ambassador stressed his country's keenness to strengthen cooperation with Sudan in the fields of agriculture and mining. In addition to promoting and developing cultural and commercial relations in the near future. He stressed his country's determination to continue its efforts to help the Sudanese people and the government overcome these difficult and exceptional situations, as well as to increase humanitarian aid. He pointed out that a Turkish ship is sailing to Sudan carrying 10 cargoes of food and medicine intended for citizens affected by war, torrents, floods and families in need.
