We have often witnessed how revenge and violence lead to a never-ending cycle of violence. While we understand the anger some citizens feel towards those who caused their suffering, we call for restraint, patience and wisdom. Emotional and vindictive actions do not contribute to achieving justice, but rather exacerbate the conflict and delay the process of national reconciliation.
Achieving justice is the ultimate goal we should all strive for. But obtaining justice does not mean taking the law into your own hands, but rather resorting to judicial power and applying the law to everyone without exception. Any transgression or violation of the law must be punished by the competent authorities, in order to guarantee the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens.
We call on the people of Sudan to come together and unite at this crucial time in their history. The challenges facing Sudan are vast and interrelated, and can only be addressed through collective action and constructive cooperation.
We appreciate the role of the armed forces in protecting the nation and preserving the security of citizens, and we emphasize the importance of them continuing to fulfill their national role.
