Follow-ups: Al-Zein Kandowa
The Committee for the Success of the Academic Year in the Al-Nazer Square (4) neighborhood in Al-Abyad warned of the warning signs of violent clashes between residents of the neighborhood and displaced people settled in school since the war.
The committee member, Mr. Azhari Muhammad Abdel Rahim, said that the situation has become completely unbearable, that the residents are fed up with the behavior of the displaced people inside the school and that all students, teachers and teachers , became submissive. the shade of the trees and the waves of cold.
For his part, Professor Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad revealed that at any time, the residents would attack the displaced people inside the walls and classrooms of the school, especially about (19) families comprising about (81 ) individuals. (1,500) students of the Al-Shorouk primary school for boys and a factory in the Al-Nazer district, in addition to a middle school housed in buildings, in addition to teachers, the number of whom exceeds twenty. Ibrahim said: “All this number of students. » Teachers were placed under trees in exchange for a limited number of shelters (81 people). They were originally given shelter and paid internationally because they are being moved in accordance with international law.
Ibrahim added that what we did towards them was the limit of what was possible given their situation at the time, but now the reality has completely changed and we as a society have more in addition we need schools and education for our children.
Ahmed Ibrahim said that one of the objectives of this war is to disrupt the educational process for as long as possible so that there is an entire Sudanese generation outside of education. This is why we see the systematic targeting of educational establishments, whether general or higher education. .
Ibrahim mentioned that there was severe harassment and harassment against teachers, because there were young men over twenty years old and there were other teenage boys and their behavior was very provocative, and this behavior caused the residents of the neighborhood to completely reject their presence in the school buildings, in addition to the assumption that the classrooms and the school fence must be evacuated so that the students can attend their studies. For all these reasons, a “disaster” would almost have occurred without our presence. intervention in committee under the pretext of the need to inform the competent authorities before taking any escalatory measure. We met with the executive director and head of the security committee of Shikan locality, Mr. Abdel Nasser Abdullah Muhammad, and he addressed the relevant authorities, but no one was moved in the matter, noting that the schools from the east of the city were immediately evacuated as soon as the start of the school year was announced, and this procedural behavior of the competent authorities made the residents of Al-Nazer district (4) completely dissatisfied with the executive power with all its levels and responsibilities. We are therefore awaiting decisions from the Humanitarian Aid Commission, the Shikan Locality Security Committee and the State Security Committee until Tuesday morning (November 12, 2024). After that, if the appropriate decision is not taken, the displaced people are expelled. , and the school is evacuated, we may not be able to control the reaction of the residents of the Al-Nazer Square area (4) _ We have no vision of the results, so we appeal to the security committee of the State to take the necessary preventive measures before it is too late.
