Confirmed reports from sources revealed that the militia arrested forty people from the village, in the context of the assassination of the village militia leader, called (Obaid), and his burial at the school by some residents of the village of Rahmaniya.
The sources revealed that the deceased, Obaid, is considered a source of the rapid support militia in the region, and it was he who provoked the presence of the militia in the area and opened a camp to train some youths under the command of under the pretext of protecting the village after the incidents of arson, robbery and assassinations he witnessed during the previous period, led by the Hassan Rabih militia. The sources said Obaid's links with the militia were rejected by many circles in the region. and Obaid always caused them a lot of harassment, which led them to liquidate him and bury him in the school, according to reports.
The sources confirmed that those arrested admitted the details and information of the incident related to the liquidation of Obaid, but these statements did not satisfy them and the deadly tortures continued until the four died, and more than (37) people remained in the prison. detention centers in Umm Rawaba and under threat of death, according to sources.
The same sources indicated that the militia leader, Hassan Rabeh, threatened residents of the Rahmaniyah area to burn it after exhuming Obaid's body, and to exterminate them all and drive them out of the area. were forced to evacuate their homes and flee to unknown places.
It is worth noting that the region was subjected to a large-scale attack some time ago by the Rapid Support Forces militia, led by its leader Hassan Rabeh. The village was burned and property was looted, and dozens of people were killed and injured.
