White Nile Governor Oversees Restart of State Oxygen Plant After Short Period of Shutdown for Technical Reasons

Mr. Omar Al-Khalifa Abdullah, Governor of White Nile State, this morning reviewed the restart of operations of the Al-Khalifa oxygen production plant in Kosti, which was stopped for a short period due to technical reasons.

This was in the presence of Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, Director General of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the State, the Minister in charge, Engineer Al-Tayeb Muhammad Al-Hassan, Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Minister-designate, and our Lord, Dr. Al-Sadiq Mufarreh, Director of the Legal Department, General Legal Advisor to the State Government, and Mr. Fath Al-Rahman Musa, Deputy Representative of the Director General of the Ministry of Finance of the State and several other members of the Supreme Committee for the Supply of Strategic Products in the White Nile.

The White Nile Governor stressed his government’s interest in the health sector and providing all assistance given the current circumstances the country is going through. In addition, Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, Minister of Health and Social Development in charge of the state, said that the resumption of oxygen production operations at the Al-Khalifa factory in Kosti is a major effort resulting from the care, attention and continuous monitoring of the governor of the state, who continued to follow the stages of the factory's work, and when it stopped, there was a constant directive to the Ministry of Finance and Health regarding the need for treatments. which led to the cessation of production were communicated to the implementing company, which in turn made significant efforts to update the operating program and return the factory to the production cycle.

The Minister of Health commended the state government for its response to all the requirements of the health sector, and he singled out Al-Zein, the governor of White Nile, for his continued support for the sector's programs at all stages of services, from basic health care, the second level, and the completion of critical services in intensive care and the heart and kidney center, stressing that the state is experiencing unprecedented stability in all health services, calling on all hospitals to quickly meet their real needs. oxygen, the plant produces about eighty cylinders per day, which is enough to cover the needs of the state's health sector.

In the same context, Engineer Muhammad Abdullah, Technical Director of Al-Khalifa Oxygen Production Plant in Kosti, attributed the closure of the plant during the past period to technical reasons, and the procedures for restarting operations were carried out through the joint efforts of the government, the company implementing the project, and the state's technical staff, which resulted in the successful resumption of work in the plant, which is currently operating at full capacity. It provides oxygen to all health facilities and hospitals in the state and covers the needs of neighboring White Nile states.
